Volunteers Needed For Phoenix Weekend

Dear Greater Phoenix Chapter Volunteers:

Phoenix Weekend will be held on January 18 – 21, 2018. During this 4 day experience, the Students will be changing host families and attending their mid-year orientation, but Phoenix Weekend is much more, and we are requesting the participation of our wonderful volunteers to make this year’s Phoenix Weekend a success! Thursday and Friday we are in need of Chaperones from 8am-4pm that will drive our AFS Students to multiple locations in the Downtown area. These days will include field trips to Arizona’s government and cultural institutions and give the students an opportunity to be ambassadors of AFS and their home country. On Friday evening, from 5pm-9pm we host a Pot-luck dinner and Cultural presentation show for their weekend host families. Saturday from 10am-1pm, we will meet at North Mountain Park for a Hike and BBQ. Please come and join the FUN!! Phoenix Weekend has been one of our Chapter’s favorite activities. We encourage everyone to get involved.
